‘Conductos’ de Alejandro Peña León gana Concurso de Fotografía de Salamanca

La photograph ‘Conductos’, by Alejandro Peña León, has been the winner of the XIII Photography Contest of the Museum of Commerce and Industry of Salamanca with a prize of 1,000 euros.

Likewise, the second prize, of 500 euros, has been awarded to the image ‘Bodega Náutica’, by Manuel López Martín and the third prize, endowed with 250 euros, has been for ‘El resort de los gazatíes’, by José María Martín García.

On the other hand, the special prize, for photographs of industrial and commercial warehouses existing outside the geographical area of Salamanca and province, endowed with 250 euros, has been won by the photograph ‘Palafito da carrasqueira II’, by Eva de la Fuente Mateos.

In addition to these cash prizes, the jury has awarded 11 honorable mentions that recognize the special quality of the awarded photographs.

In this new edition of the contest, 44 photographers have participated, with a total of 161 photographs, on the theme of ‘industrial and commercial warehouses’, and all participants in the contest will be exhibited in temporary rooms with at least one of the photographs submitted.

The award ceremony and opening of the photography exhibition will take place during the month of March, when the theme of the next contest will also be announced.
