The fourteenth edition of the Chamber Music and Soloists Cycle at the Teatro Liceo in Salamanca, organized by the City Council, will offer a total of twelve concerts spread between October 2025 and May 2026.
The season will open with the Zadig Trio, a group known for their skillful virtuosity and elegant poise, winners of eleven international awards. Their concert is scheduled for October 6th and they will perform works by Shostakovich, Felix Mendelssohn, and Astor Piazzolla.
Following them, the Classical Orchestra of the Teatro Liceo will perform on October 27th, presenting the first symphony and piano concerto by Beethoven to the Salamanca audience. The concert will be conducted by Iván Martín, one of the brightest musicians of his generation, both nationally and internationally. This concert is not part of the subscription and tickets are priced at 15, 20, and 25 euros.
On November 24th, the cycle continues with a wind ensemble concert by the Classical Orchestra of the Teatro Liceo, conducted by Alfonso Sebastián, featuring works by Mozart.
The Paganini Ensemble will perform on December 1st. Led by the virtuoso Mario Hossen, renowned for his interpretations of Paganini’s works, the ensemble offers a unique perspective on Paganini’s musical legacy, showcasing dazzling virtuosity intertwined with moments of deep passion, tenderness, suffering, and joy.
The year 2026 will start with the Fin du Temps concert, a modern ensemble of soloists performing works by Debussy, Ravel, Bartók, and Schoenberg on January 12th.
On January 26th, the Arbós Trio, National Music Prize 2013 and one of the most prestigious chamber groups in the European music scene, will perform works by Robert Schumann and Felix Mendelssohn, showcasing their innovative approach to Spanish and Ibero-American musical heritage.
February 23rd will feature the String Quintet of the Berlin Philharmonic, a unique ensemble with a double bass added to the string quartet, allowing them to perform as a full string orchestra. Accompanied by clarinetist Miguel Ángel Tamarit, they will interpret works by Mozart, Weber, Tchaikovsky, Bottesini, and Sarasate.
The Meccore Quartet will take the stage on March 16th, known for their technical virtuosity, deep interpretations, and powerful stage presence while performing works by Noskowski, Janacek, and Beethoven.
German cellist Maximilian Hornung and Japanese pianist Hisako Kawamura will present a concert on March 30th, showcasing their musicality and maturity through works by Dvorak, Johannes Brahms, and Cesar Franck.
The American String Quartet, recognized as one of the leading string quartets today, will perform on April 20th, interpreting works by Shostakovich, Beethoven, and Ravel.
The penultimate concert of the cycle will be performed by Italian pianist Brenno Ambrosini on April 20th, interpreting works by Galuppi, Beethoven, and Franz Liszt.
Concluding the XIV Chamber Music and Soloists Cycle will be the Quiroga Quartet on May 25th, known for their dynamic and unique approach to the string quartet repertoire, winners of the National Music Prize 2018 and other prestigious awards. They will perform works by Arriaga, Webern, and Brahms.
The subscription season includes eleven concerts between October 6, 2025, and May 25, 2026. Subscribers to the XIII cycle can renew their subscriptions at the Teatro Liceo box office from July 4 to 18 and August 26 to September 5. New subscriptions will be available starting September 9.
Subscription prices are 150 euros for orchestra seats, 130 euros for boxes, and 120 euros for the 1st amphitheater.
