Salamanca Tech Summit will celebrate in its inaugural session a journey through science and flavor, through a knowledge transfer activity to the primary sector. ‘Tech & Taste: A journey through science and flavor’ aims to showcase how technology can enhance productivity and efficiency in the primary sector.
To achieve this, representatives from Maestra Quesera, DO Guijuelo, and Auténtico Viñadores will participate. The activity will take place at 6:00 p.m. in the marquee located outside the Congress Palace.
Additionally, during the days of the Salamanca Tech Summit, an international megathon on cybersecurity will be held. This is an international competition organized by the University of Salamanca and INCIBE, framed within the CyberChain Chair that combines training, innovation, and technical competition, featuring technical presentations and workshops on cybersecurity; the launch of the blockchain platform; a CTF competition; and technical training.
All this aims to promote innovation and practical learning through training and networking. Registrations can be made through the Salamanca Tech Summit website free of charge.
On the last day of the conference, on the 27th, an Animation and Video Games Pitch contest by El Jap! will be held. Participants can showcase their creativity and original project development in the animation and video game sectors, presenting them to an expert jury.
The Pitch is open to professionals, students, and developers with unpublished projects, whether in animation format (such as shorts or series) or video games (in conceptual phase or prototype). Participants must register, submit a summary, and pitch for 5 minutes. Winners will receive a prize of 500 euros and preferential access to the El Jap! accelerator, specialized in animation and video games.
Additionally, on the 27th, an Ideathon will be held, where participants and speakers can come together to generate innovative ideas and launch new initiatives. The goal is to combine knowledge, experiences, and resources to sow creative solutions that can continue to develop after COMHIS.
The main challenge of this Ideathon is to build bridges that connect generations, cultures, territories, knowledge, and projects of the Spanish-speaking world, showcasing what unites us without erasing what sets us apart. During this activity, participants are invited to propose new platforms, businesses, projects, products, or spaces that make this connection between people, knowledge, and territories possible.
Finally, once the conference is concluded, Salamanca Tech offers free training in artificial intelligence to all attendees.
Top-level Speakers
The Salamanca Tech Summit continues to add prominent participants during the days it will be held. In addition to those announced during the presentation of this event, other top-level speakers from universities in Malaysia, China, Saudi Arabia, or Cairo, as well as international, national, and local companies; and science communicators like Javier Santaolalla or El Hormiguero collaborator, Jorge Marrón Martín ‘Marron’, will also be present.
Thus, this conference (organized by the City Council and the University of Salamanca) continues to establish itself as one of the leading events in technology and innovation, bringing together, from June 25 to 27, different national experts in artificial intelligence, animation, video games, biotechnology, cybersecurity, digitalization, Spanish economy, or blockchain.
