Salamanca will host the 26th edition of the Local Police Cross on May 31st. A total of 400 runners will participate in the race, which, like previous years, will be for a charitable cause. This time, the proceeds will go to the Aviva Foundation. Additionally, a ‘Row 0’ has been set up for those who wish to collaborate.
Specifically, 250 adults and 150 children will gather for the race, open to all members of the Security Forces, members of the three armies, firefighters, and healthcare personnel. The race also welcomes athletes not affiliated with these groups, as well as individuals with disabilities, for whom the course will be adapted to each runner’s level, which must be indicated at the time of registration.
The races will kick off at 10:00 am at the doors of the Local Police Headquarters, on La Aldehuela Avenue, and the route will pass through the natural surroundings of La Aldehuela; a total of 9 kilometers for the main race and up to a maximum of 1.5 kilometers for the children’s race. After the competition, prizes will be awarded for the different races at the Headquarters pavilion.
Registrations can be made through the website www.atletismosalmantino.org/crosspolicialocalsalamanca until 11:59 pm on Wednesday, May 28th. The cost is five euros for adults, and for children’s categories, one kilo of non-perishable food must be brought. Bibs can be collected on May 29th and 30th at the ‘Quiero vivir aquí’ real estate agency located at Campoamor Avenue, 55.
