The Municipal School of Health in Salamanca is organizing the ‘Caring and Being Cared for’ Day on Thursday, March 27 with the aim of raising awareness and recognizing the «essential» work carried out by caregivers in society, as well as addressing the challenges faced by this sector to improve the quality of life for individuals in situations of dependency.
The event will take place at the Julián Sánchez ‘El Charro’ Integrated Municipal Center, both in the morning and afternoon, starting at 9:30 am, as detailed by the City Council in a statement reported by Europa Press.
Throughout the day, there will be talks, workshops, and activities focused on the physical and emotional well-being of caregivers, providing them with tools and strategies for self-care and stress management to enhance their quality of life and that of those they care for.
The program includes three roundtable discussions in the morning titled ‘The Challenge of Care’, ‘Challenges of Care’, and ‘Caring with Support’, bringing together professionals and organizations dedicated to supporting caregivers. Additionally, this forum will be used to promote the exchange of experiences among participants with the aim of creating a support and collaboration network.
In the afternoon, from 5:00 to 7:30 pm, there will be workshops on Yoga Nindra and ‘Mindfulness’, as well as a music therapy session for self-care.
