Reducción temporal de presión de agua en zona norte debido a obras en Gran Capitán

According to the Water Service of Salamanca, the replacement of a DN600 valve in the water supply network renovation project on Gran Capitán avenue may temporarily reduce water pressure in homes in the northern area of the city.

Currently, a 230-meter section of the water distribution network is being renovated on Gran Capitán avenue between Portugal avenue and Miranda and Oquendo street to prevent pipe breakage and improve the quality of service provided to citizens. Additionally, the installation of new drains is being considered.

Furthermore, all public lighting will be upgraded to LED technology to enhance energy efficiency, leading to cost savings on electricity bills, with luminaires placed 10 meters high on 1.5-meter arm extensions on the façade.

Additionally, a common telecommunications network will be implemented to provide operators with infrastructure for future pipeline installations and facilitate the undergrounding of existing façade wiring.

The Gran Capitán avenue improvement project includes the renovation of current sidewalks to enhance accessibility for individuals with disabilities or reduced mobility.

Moreover, at intersections with adjacent streets, elevated crosswalks are designed at sidewalk level in the roadway to maintain a consistent level on the avenue, calming vehicle traffic and promoting speed reduction.
