La orquesta ‘Panorama’ will kick off the program of activities that the City Council of Salamanca has prepared for the celebration of the patron saint San Juan de Sahagún this Wednesday, starting at 6:00 pm with the traditional parades of bands and giants.
At 8:00 pm, in Elio Antonio de Nebrija Park, the XXII Bonfire Concert is scheduled, a musical activity featuring students of Modern Music (Electric Guitar, Keyboards, Electric Bass, Modern Singing, and Drums) from the Municipal School of Music and Dance.
Also at that time, the absolute premiere of ‘Navalia’ will begin, a street parade by the Salamanca company CulturARTS that invites spectators to embark on a fantastic journey through imaginary seas. With its mast and sail illuminated, the ship becomes a space where time and reality blur, inviting the audience to let their imagination run wild.
It will depart from Concilio de Trento square and travel through San Pablo street, Quintana, Juan del Rey, Prado, Prior, Monterrey Square, Compañía street, Rúa Antigua, Francisco de Vitoria street, and end at Anaya Square, as indicated by the City Council in a statement collected by Europa Press.
At 10:30 pm, the performance of the ‘Panorama’ orchestra will begin at the fairground of La Aldehuela. In their new show ‘Epic Tour’, the orchestra features twenty-three artists on stage, over three hours of spectacle, and an incredible audiovisual and musical show with the best songs in history.
For the ‘Panorama’ orchestra performance at La Aldehuela fairground, the City Council has approved a self-protection plan that includes a maximum capacity of 30,909 people, allowing the Local Police to prohibit access when the capacity is reached.
The venue will have four entrances, opening to the public at half past eight in the evening, and seven exits. All of them will be properly marked. At the entrances, access control will be in place, and glass containers, cans, bottles, or similar items will not be allowed, maintaining the ban on drinking alcohol in public places, as detailed by the City Council in a statement.
Inside the venue, portable toilets will be available, and a Violet Point will be set up to raise awareness against sexist aggressions, as well as to address any sexist and/or sexual aggression.
Additionally, to facilitate transportation to La Aldehuela fairground, the City Council will enhance the urban bus service during Wednesday’s event.
Specifically, a special service with two buses will operate from Mirat Avenue to La Aldehuela Fairground, picking up passengers at all stops along the route every 15 minutes, free of charge.
Likewise, line eight will be reinforced with an additional bus, running from Gran Vía to La Aldehuela. This reinforcement will be available from 8:00 pm to 10:30 pm.
