The Education Portal and provincial offices have recently published the resolution of the post-compulsory aid call for the 2024-2025 academic year. In this way, the department led by Rocío Lucas assists students in High School, Vocational Training, or Special Regime education who cannot access the aid from the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training, and Sports for these studies.
In fact, to reach more students, the Junta de Castilla y León has introduced significant innovations in the call. Thus, they have increased the educational programs in which students can be enrolled, including some that do not qualify for the grants from the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training, and Sports: specialization courses in Vocational Training and elementary music and dance education.
Additionally, a new fixed aid modality linked to excellence based on academic performance has been announced, along with the two traditional aid modalities: variable, based on the percentage range of the maximum family income threshold established in the call; and fixed, linked to residence.
In particular, a total of 2,050 grants have been awarded to 1,638 students in the Community (as many of them have received two or more grants) for a total amount of 689,625 euros. By educational levels, the beneficiaries of High School account for 48.2%; Vocational Training, 32.4%; recipients of Elementary and Professional Music-Dance Education, 18.1%; recipients of Higher Artistic Education, 0.79%; of Plastic Arts and Design, 0.36%; and finally, of languages, 0.15%.
