Segovia will host the chess, track and field athletics, badminton, lifesaving, and table tennis events. Additionally, on Saturday, the climbing event will take place in Valladolid, and the orienteering event will be held in Quintanar de la Sierra (Burgos). The final rounds of Team Sports (basketball, handball, indoor soccer, and volleyball) will take place on May 24th and 25th in Palencia, with the preliminary rounds scheduled for May 16, 17, and 18 in each province.

The Director General of Sports, Enrique Sánchez-Guijo, and the Territorial Delegate of Segovia, Raquel Alonso, accompanied by the Sports Councilor of the City Council, Jesús Garrido, and the Sports Deputy of the Provincial Council, Óscar Moral, have presented a new edition of the Castile and León School Age Championships for individual sports, which will take place in Segovia next Saturday, from 10:00 to 15:00.
The Director General emphasized that «the school sports program is one of the most important for the Department of Culture, Tourism, and Sports, given its undeniable educational value, social impact, and promotion of health and sports values it instills in the children and youth of Castile and León.» He also mentioned that the Junta allocates 3 million euros annually to school sports in the community, promoting the sports participation of over 150,000 students each year.
The sports disciplines that will be featured in these championships are chess, track and field athletics, badminton, lifesaving, and table tennis. Trophies and medals will be awarded as the various sports competitions conclude, and in the case of athletics, when the results of each event are available. Technical organization and refereeing will be carried out by the respective Sports Federations of Castile and León, contracted for this purpose.

Participants
School teams of athletes born between 2010 and 2014 are expected to participate, depending on the discipline. In the case of chess, track and field athletics, and lifesaving, provincial teams are also invited. The categories will be male and female, except for chess, which is mixed, with an approximate gathering of 1250 participants from the nine provinces of Castile and León.
The sports facilities where the championships will take place are: Athletics, Municipal Tracks Antonio Prieto de la Albuera; Lifesaving, Heated municipal pool José Carlos Casado; Badminton, Maristas Nuestra Señora de la Fuencisla School; Chess, Nueva Segovia Civic Center; and Table Tennis, facilities set up at the Pedro Delgado Pavilion.
