Asaja Salamanca, Unión General de Trabajadores (UGT), CEOE Cepyme, and Comisiones Obreras (CCOO) have reached an agreement with the signing of the new collective agreement for agricultural activities in the province of Salamanca that will result in a 3 percent salary increase for 2025.
This agreement will regulate the sector in the coming years and marks the end of a negotiation process characterized by significant difficulties, as pointed out by Asaja Salamanca in a statement collected by Europa Press.
«After intense and complex negotiations,» as highlighted by Asaja, the organizations have managed to establish a pact that, «although pending evaluation due to the possible effects of changes in working hours,» offers «advancements» in economic terms.
Specifically, as indicated by the agricultural organization, a 3 percent salary increase has been agreed for the year 2025 and a 2.75 percent increase for 2026. «This agreement represents a fundamental step for the stability and development of the agricultural sector in the province, which continues to be a key driver of the local economy,» stated by Asaja.
The signing organizations have emphasized the importance of this agreement, which, despite the «difficulties of the process,» responds to the «need to regulate such a strategic sector as agriculture, guaranteeing both the well-being of workers and the development of business activity.»
The new agreement will come into effect «shortly,» and all signing organizations hope «that it will serve as a reference for the future of the agricultural sector in Salamanca and its surroundings.»
