El programa ‘Salamanca, culta y oculta’ continues with its varied proposals. As a novelty, tomorrow Thursday and Friday, the activity ‘Become an Archaeologist’ begins at the Interpretation Center of the Salamancan Walls, a family dynamization proposal that will take place from 11:30 to 13:30 hours.
Today Wednesday, and Friday, at 21:00 hours, the guided tour ‘Heritage and Legends of the Tormes River’ will take place, starting from the Visitor Reception Center Fonda Veracruz. It is an attractive route from Plaza de los Bandos to the Huerto de Calixto and Melibea, to enjoy an authentic natural viewpoint full of history, legends, and literary references, such as that of Lazarillo de Tormes.
Tomorrow Thursday and Saturday, at 21:00 hours, the guided tour ‘Legends of Hidden Salamanca’ is scheduled, a route from the Cave of Salamanca to the Convent Museum of the Claras, to discover interesting legends of the city.
During the weekend, you can enjoy the theatrical tour ‘Carmen Martín Gaite and Neighbors’. It will be on Friday at 20:00 hours, Saturday at 12:00 hours and 20:00 hours, and Sunday at 12:00 hours. This theatrical tour, which pays tribute to the writer on the centenary of her birth, stops at places linked to great figures of Salamancan culture like Santa Teresa de Jesús, Unamuno, Fernando de Rojas, or Cervantes, among others.
The theatrical tour ‘Constellation of Baroque Altarpieces’ can be enjoyed this Saturday, July 12, at the Chapel of San Jerónimo (tickets are priced at 10 euros) and on Sunday at the Church of La Vera Cruz, with four passes at 11:30, 12:00, 12:30, and 13:00 hours.
The Museum of Cerro de San Vicente also offers several proposals during the weekend: open visit, Fridays (from 19:00 to 21:30 hours), Saturdays (from 11:30 to 14:00 hours and from 19:00 to 21:30 hours), and Sundays (from 11:30 to 14:00 hours); guided tours on Fridays (19:00 and 20:15 hours), Saturdays (11:30, 12:45, 19:00 and 20:15 hours), and Sundays (11:30 and 12:45 hours). Along with the videomapping, projected every day, from 22:00 to 00:00 hours.
The Archeological Park of El Botánico will be the setting for a triple proposal: the open visit, which can be done from Tuesday to Saturday, from 10:00 to 19:30 hours, and on Sunday from 10:00 to 14:00 hours; the guided tour and virtual reality, on Fridays and Saturdays at 20:00 hours; and the astronomical observation, on Fridays, with sessions at 22:30 and 23:30 hours.
On Friday (also on Wednesdays), at 12:00 hours, guided tours are conducted at the Pozo de Nieve. And on Friday, at 11:00 hours, you can take a walk through the urban gallery of the Barrio del Oeste.
Invitation Reservations
Most of the organized activities are free, and invitation reservations can be made on the website. The activities that are not free are: the night visits to Scala Coeli and Ieronimus, where the Night of the Photographers will also be celebrated; and access to the cathedral, Edificio de las Escuelas Mayores, and Pontifical University to see the theatrical visits of the Constellation of Baroque Altarpieces.
